For the longest time as a plus-size girl, I felt like flowy clothes, especially those that did their best to cover my thick waist, were the foundation, if not the core, of every plus size closet. I didn’t think I’d look fab in a crop top paired with a pair of fitting shorts that showed the world what a marvel my excellent thick waist and thunder thighs are.
Then Pinterest and all these plus- size empowering websites walked in and blew me away with them🙆‍♀️. It was either I embrace it or embrace it. I was so inspired to see these fly, madly-curvaceous babes like me telling the world that they got the juice 🎙(it ain’t my fault that I’m out here getting loose, got to blame it on my juice, no I’m not a snack at all, look baby I’m the whole damn meal)I was looking for a way to insert that song, so yeah😅). They aren’t ashamed of it, and I hope I inspire you to get into this fierce yacht with me.
Don’t get me wrong, I live for my flowy clothes, but I love that I can still show off my badass curves and feel powered up. My goal is to inspire you to be the best version of yourself fashion-wise, so if you feel comfortable with flowy clothes or right tight-fitting ones, do you boo, be comfortable in your own skin and stand tall. But, I’mma throw in some inspiration; hope you are readddyy……..

Are you inspired? Because these queens beyond killed it. I hope these show a difference between tight clothes that make your shape look wonky and rightly balanced tight clothes that accentuate and enhance your body. Because I love you, I’m going to give you tips to hack the bad b* plus size vibe.

  1. Always ensure the fit is right. For example, if you are planning to wear a crop-top and a pair of jeans like the ladies above, make sure the fit of the jeans is right because if it’s incredibly tight on the waist, it will give you a lousy muffin top and it will make you look unbalanced.
  2. Don’t be afraid of DIY. Most of the time, the clothes in the market for us are really flowy, and the amazing ones are expensive. If you are afraid of ruining the cloth, take it to your tailor and explain your vision of the outfit. This is my favorite hack.
  3. This for those insecure of their tummy area and prefer wearing flowy, drapey clothes to hide their gut but still want to slay us further. Invest in shapewear. It is a lifesaver for bodycon dresses as it smooths out your curves. But I always say, in my typical outfit, they still see my gut, I can’t hide it, I can as well serve the whole meal.
  4. Be confident in your own skin, nothing as vibe- killing as you slaying us, and then you look uncomfortable, own the outfit. If it’s foreign to you, take baby steps as you build stamina.
Above all, you are beautiful just the way you are, and nobody can say otherwise. Till next time, babes.
    From my heart,
    Besos.
